Homegrown & Homemade!
Crowds of people gather in Rockford on the Saturday morning of the SE Spokane County Fair, converging on main street and straining to see the entrants in the Kiddie Parade and Grand Parade.
If you want your group, organization, tractor, or collectible vehicle to be seen by many, consider entering in the Grand Parade.
If you have or know of children that love to dress up or ride their bikes, the Kiddie Parade is the place for them!
Interested in joining in on the fun on Saturday, Sept. 25th? Tons of cool contests will be taking place within the parade. Compete for money or prizes in all categories, such as: float, tractors, and ATV/UTV decoration contests(more info below). Entries must be received by Sept. 19, 2021, and entry forms can be downloaded at the bottom of the page.
The Kiddie Parade takes place directly before the Grand Parade, at 10:15. Contestants do not need to pre-register, but should be at the check-in spot by 9:45. The check-in booth will be located in front of the Military Museum, on the West end of the Bridge on Emma St.
Enter to win an AMAZING prize! (The 2017 winner got a hand-made, one-of-a-kind coffee mug. And it was even dishwasher and microwave safe. 2018 was a custom, hand crafted leather wallet.)
If you have an ATV, UTV, golf-cart, etc. then you have got to check this contest out. Entries will be judged based on originality, adherence to the current year's fair theme, and style. Entrants will need to decorate their chosen mode of transportation and enter it in the parade on Saturday morning. Pre-Entries should be submitted by Sept. 15, and the entry form can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
A special thank-you goes out to Richard Slover for his photography skills and the use of some of his images of the parade.
